Doctoral Research 2022: “the secret sauce for rapid disruptive change”
In my research, I examine two facets of leader-follower relational dynamics during rapid disruptive change using a qualitative case study design: (1) how the leader-follower relationship between Millennial executive leaders and their multi-generation followers establishes adaptive capacity during times of rapid disruptive change; and (2) how the leader-follower relationship aligns with co-production followership theory during times of rapid disruptive change. The study’s findings and conclusions led to the development of a new leader-follower relational model -The Match-The Disruptive-Moment Relational Model (MTDM)-grounded in followership theory, proposing it as the secret sauce recipe for next-generation leaders and followers in navigating the moments of rapid disruptive change.
